Cees Sliedrecht<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No safe place for them in Bethlehem<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fear and anxiety drove them away<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Pursued by evil and destruction<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Government forces, tearing families apart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Egypt offers safety and freedom,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Opening their borders<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For Mary, Joseph and Jesus to enter,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To rest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Syria is destroyed, cities are burning<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Desperation hits the family of three,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Looming death pursues them, fleeing is the only way out<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Leaving their homes and dear ones behind, cruel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Children are crying out for help and comfort<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Under the cross they stand, welcomed by Christ who is near them,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In his ultimate suffering, He watches out over them,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Promising them peace, justice and eternal life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Wait till the stranger knocks on our door<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Hungry, thirsty and in despair<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For their basic needs to be met<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Are we welcoming?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cees&#8217;
